It's the bed she goes to when she wants to curl up and snooze. Considering it saw her through the majority of her playful puppy years and has been beaten up on more than one occation it is still in very good condition and hasn't had to undergo any repairs which other items have.

When it arrived it was bright red, not pink as in the picture, and it looked like a stuffed Royal Mail Post Bag. The bed lasted literally 5 hours before ths zip was ripped off and all the stuffing pulled out, a complete waste of money - and a lot of money at that. I have now resorted to a piece of vet bedding which she has had for a month now, and has not chewed at all. I would not recommend this product at all - save your money!!

She had osteo-arthritis and nothing ever seemed to keep her comfortable and she couldn't lie down for long. I found this to be a god send. She was able to lie down for longer periods of time and get pain free rest. I would recommend this product to anyone who has pets with arthritic conditions.

Johnson for Waterproof Protective Rear Car Seat Dog / Pet Cover (Heavy Duty Hammock Style) Rating: With a small car my dog has to travel on the back seat and, with the current horrid weather, my rear car seat was really suffering despite the use of towels etc. This protector, suspended from rear head rests to front head rests, completely protects the rear seat and the floor. However, you can still use the seat belt anchors (useful if you need to put the dog in a harness on longer journeys) by way of velcro access holes. In addition you can still carry a rear seat passenger as the cover partially unzips to allow one passenger to sit next to the dog if necessary. Thoroughly recommended for the smaller car.

Review by tazmo007 for Dog Bed Durabed Extra Large Black Rating: I got this bed because my dog's beanbag bed is always soaking wet with condensation on the bare lino floor, so I thought if I lifted it off the ground, we would not have that problem.

The bed itself is well made and sturdy, and I don't anticipate any problems with that. Have read in other reviews that the screws loosen themselves after time. A little tip to avoid that: put a blob of nail varnish onto the tip of the screw before putting it in. The nail varnish will harden and stop the screw undoing itself, but can still be unscrewed with the alan key in future if necessary.

I put my dog's beanbag up onto the bed (yeah yeah, my dog's spoiled!) but this has not stopped the condensation problem.

So yeah, it is a good bed. Easy to put together. The base is thick card I think, inside the canvas pocket, with a small layer of foam on top. If your dog doesn't have stiff joints or anything, this may be sufficient. The canvas base is sealed with velcro (could maybe be opened by a digging dog if your dog is so inclined).

A good bed, but one which doesn't solve my problem. But it if you want a sturdy, slightly padded off-the-floor bed.
Don't buy it if you are going to put a soft bed into it and want to avoid condensation. Go for something that lets more air ciculate I guess.
